WRESTLING TEAM AT WESTERN WASHINGTON UNIVERISTY

The Western Washington University Vikings wrestling team wrestles under the National Collegiate Wrestling Association, which is the national governing body for college wrestling clubs all throughout the United States.

History

  • Western originally established Wrestling in 1962. Lasting for 19 Seasons the program was cut in 1981. Read more here.

  • In 2012 a group of students go together and created the Wrestling team as a Sport Club.

  • 2023 - 2024

    In 2024 the team had 3 Conference Finalists. At Nationals which were in Shreveport, LA the team sent 9 Wrestlers. 2 of these were all Americans. Within this Jacob Westfall was our first Male All American in 5 years.

    2022 - 2023

    In 2023 the team had 4 Conference Champions. At Nationals which were in Puerto Rico the team sent 9 Wrestlers. 2 of these Wrestlers All American.
